This handcrafted bowl measures 15 cm's across the top, 8 cm's across the base and 6 cm's high. (Note each bowl is individually handmade, there may be slight variations)
This bowl is made from sustainably harvested Teak Wood which means they are very strong, hard and durable and also naturally waterproof. So you can use these wooden bowls for a variety of purposes, think wooden salad bowl, wooden cereal bowl, wooden smoothie bowl, wooden curry bowl or wooden rice bowl. Just some of a range of purposes.
Each bowl is individually made by members of a small village. You can see the love and care that has gone into each, how they have spent time making the wood perfectly smooth by hand sanding 5 separate times, in the way that the grain in the wood has been brought to the fore.
For anyone wanting sustainable, non plastic, non toxic kitchen utensils, this is ideal for your kitchen and table.
There were no chemicals or lacquers or colour dyes used making it, so it is 100 % food safe.
Each bowl is hand sanded 5 times so it is very smooth, with no rough edges.
Handwash only and you can re-oil periodically with a food safe oil. Do not soak; wood is porous and will soak up water which may cause the wood to crack when it dries. Do not store in direct sunlight as this may cause warping and discolouration.
This wooden bowl was crafted in a small village and your purchase of it helps maintain a village and the surrounding environment, enabling skills to be learnt and passed on.
