Rounded Teak Wood Spatula

Rounded Teak Wood Spatula

Cooking and food are very important in Thai culture.  Most people know and love Thai food, but the sharing of food is an important feature of life in Thailand, whether it be street food, or from a restaurant or at home.

Spatulas are used for all kinds of cooking, from omelettes, stir frys or pad thai. The Thai word for spatula is ไม้พาย mi phaai or simply พาย Phaai.

This handmade kitchen utensil is made from sustainably grown and harvested Teak.  Each piece is individually made, lovingly created to be used in your kitchen or dining room. They are pieces that are functional, useful but also beautiful, they look lovely and having been sanded  5 separate times, they are incredibly smooth to the touch.

This beautiful handmade Spatula measures 37.5 cm's in length and 8.5 cm's across the head.

It is ideal for cooking, especially asian foods, and would make a fabulous gift for those who love being in the kitchen.

Made from Teak wood, which is very hard and strong it is great for your cooking needs. The wood does not transmit heat like a metal utensil, nor does it splinter or crack like plastic, meaning it can be used safely with Teflon pans and woks.

There is a drilled hole in the handle allows it to be hung from a hook for storage.

There were  no lacquers used, it was  not chemically treated, nor colour dyed in the making of this spatula, so it is food safe.

Handwash only and you can re-oil periodically with a food safe oil. Looked after properly, it will last a lifetime.
