Handmade Wooden Soup Spoon
This beautifully crafted wooden soup spoon is sold in NZ. Made from Teak wood, it is light but very strong. Hand sanded 5 times it is very smooth and is made for eating soup with.
There were no chemicals or lacquers used in making this, it is 100% food safe.
The spoon measures 21 cm's in length and is 4 cm's at the head and the handle is 1 cm wide.
Because they are so well made, and strong and made without chemicals or lacquers, children can safely use them. Both for eating with, but also for heuristic play
Handwash only and make sure it dries before storing it away. Oil with a food safe oil as needed. Dry after washing and leave in a dry place. Oiling will make the grain darker over time Do not soak; wood is porous and will soak up water which may cause the wood to crack when it dries. Do not store in direct sunlight as this may cause warping and discolouration.
Note each item is individually made, so grains in the wood will vary from piece to piece.
